  • Adapters

    There is a 220V electricity supply in your room. Do you need a world plug? These are for sale for €9.95 at the reception.

  • AED/first aid

    An first aid kit and AED are available at the reception.

  • Bathrobe

    Would you like more luxury during your stay? You can rent a soft, comfortable bathrobe from us. For more information, please contact our reception.

  • Bedding

    The bed, pillows, and bed linen in your room are available for purchase through www.valkathome.nl. The Van der Valk main pillow (60 x 90) can be purchased at the reception, subject to availability.

  • Bedding/towels

    If you require extra bedding, blankets, pillows, or towels, you can request them at the reception. Towels will be replaced if they are placed on the bathroom floor. If you hang them over the bathtub or on the hook, we assume you wish to reuse them. If you are staying for an extended period, we will change your bed linen every three days.

  • Bicycle rental

    Bicycle rental is available. By making an online reservation, you will receive a €5.00 discount per bike. For more prices and availability, please visit the reception.
    For information about various bike routes and junction maps, you can also inquire at the reception.

  • Bicycle storage

    Hotel Sneek has a covered and secure bicycle storage area located at the end of the parking lot. It can be opened with your room key.

  • Breakfast

    The breakfast buffet is located in the restaurant.
    Monday to Friday: 6:30 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.
    Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 A.M. – 11 A.M.

    It is also possible to order breakfast in bed, for which room service charges will apply. You can request this the evening before at our reception.

  • Brunch

    Every Sunday, we present an extensive Sunday brunch. Starting at 12 P.M., we welcome you with a glass of bubbles. Our buffet is open until 2:30 P.M. (except on holidays).

  • Charging station electric bicycle

    There are charging points for electric bicycles in the bicycle storage and to the right of the main entrance.

  • Charging station electric car

    During your stay at Hotel Sneek, you can easily charge your electric car at our charging station. You will need a charging card to use the service.

  • Check-out

    We kindly ask you to check out by 12 P.M. If you wish to stay longer in your room, this is subject to availability and a late check-out fee. Different rates and conditions apply for suites and family rooms. Please inquire at the reception about the options.
    As a Valk Loyal guest, you can enjoy a free Lazy Sunday on Sundays, subject to availability.

  • Children's corner

    In the lobby on the ground floor, you will find a play area for the little ones. They can have fun here while you enjoy your visit to our bar or restaurant. We kindly ask that you supervise your children.

  • Complaints

    If you have a comment or complaint, please feel free to contact the reception. We will always try to resolve your issue immediately. You can also send your comments or suggestions to sneek@valk.nl.

  • Copying

    At the reception, you can have copies made. We can also print your personal documents, such as a boarding pass, for you.

  • Cot

    It is possible to reserve a cot (0-3 years). An additional charge applies for placing a cot in the room. For more information, please contact the reception.

  • Do Not Distrub

    In your room, you will find the "Do Not Disturb" door hanger. If you do not wish to be disturbed, hang it on the outside of your door. The Housekeeping team will then leave a bag with fresh towels outside your door.

  • Extra bed

    The addition of an extra bed is possible for an additional fee, subject to availability and room type.

  • Fire safety

    The entire building is equipped with smoke detectors. If you notice a fire, please follow these steps:
    1. Report the fire:
    - Activate the manual alarm and call 9 (via your room phone).
    - Inform us of who you are, what is burning, where it is burning, and if anyone is in danger.
    2. Alert people in the vicinity.
    3. Extinguish the fire if possible (follow the instructions on the fire extinguisher). Remember, your own safety comes first!
    4. Close doors and windows.
    5. Use the stairs, not the elevator.
    6. Check if everyone is safe.
    7. Report to the reception.

  • Fitness

    The fitness center is located on the third floor of the hotel. It is open daily from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. and can be accessed with your room card.

  • Green Choice/Orange Choice

    During your stay, your hotel room is cleaned daily as standard. However, if you choose 'Green Choice', you directly contribute to a better environment. Every time a guest opts to skip room cleaning, a tree is planted in Scotland. With 'Orange Choice', we plant half a tree. This is part of the Valk Exclusief's comprehensive program, Trees4Next.

  • Hairdryer

    A hairdryer can be found in the wardrobe of your room.

  • Hospital

    St. Antonius Hospital Sneek is about 10 minutes from the hotel. Please contact the reception for assistance.

  • Hotel bar

    We warmly welcome you to our bar, Birdy’sBar, located diagonally to the left of the reception. Enjoy the cozy atmosphere, drinks, and delicious snacks during our extended opening hours. We look forward to welcoming you!

  • Internet

    Need to check your email or update your social media? You can use free wireless internet throughout the hotel. You can connect to the wireless network named 'Hotel Sneek' with your phone, tablet, laptop, or other mobile devices. No access code or password is required.

  • Iron/ironing board

    If you would like to use an iron and ironing board, you can request them at the reception by dialing 9. They will be delivered to your room.

  • Liability

    The hotel cannot be held countable for the lost items from the hotel rooms, meeting rooms or public areas (this also includes the cloakroom and lockers).

  • Lunch á la carte

    We serve an à la carte lunch daily in our restaurant and hotel bar. Our kitchen opens at 11 A.M., and from this time, you can choose from our dishes on the menu.

  • Lunch buffet

    From Monday to Friday, we offer a lunch buffet in the restaurant between 12 P.M. and 2 P.M. (except on holidays and during vacation periods).

  • Lunch package

    At the reception, you can order a lunch package for a fee. You can provide your preferences on a form at the reception.

  • Lost and found

    If you have found or lost something, please visit the reception. The reception keeps lost items for a maximum of 3 months. The hotel is not responsible for the loss or theft of your belongings.

  • Luggage storage

    You can use the luggage storage at the reception. Van der Valk Hotel Sneek is not responsible for any loss and/or damage to your belongings.

  • Meeting rooms

    Hotel Sneek is the perfect location for business events such as meetings, multi-day conferences, seminars, training sessions, or organizing exhibitions. The 7 stylish rooms, with a capacity of up to 500 guests, are characterized by plenty of natural light and spacious layouts.   • Messages

    If there are messages for you, we will inform you of them either by phone or in writing. For guest messages, please drop them off at the reception or call us at 9, and we will ensure they are properly delivered to the guest.

  • Minibar

    The minibar in your room is not stocked. You can purchase a minibar package at the reception. You can view here the content.

  • Night porter

    The night porter is present from 11:30 P.M. to 7 A.M. In case of emergencies, you can reach the night porter at any time by dialing '9'.

  • Parking

    Around the hotel, you will find ample parking spaces that you can use free of charge as a hotel guest. For more information, visit this website.

  • Payment methods

    We accept the following payment options:

    - Dinerbon.nl Giftcard

    When booking a room, we will hold it for you until 6 P.M. You have two options to confirm your reservation: you can prepay via the payment link sent a few days before the reservation, or you can provide a credit card authorization to ensure your room is guaranteed for your stay.

    If you wish to book a package, the conditions of FLEX24 apply. This means you must prepay your package 24 hours in advance, and cancellations are only possible up to 24 hours before the start, unlike the previous option which allowed cancellation until 18:00 on the same day.

  • Pharmacy/doctor

    The pharmacy/doctor/doctor’s service is located at the Antonius Hospital in Sneek.
    Dokterswacht Friesland operates by appointment only. The reception will be happy to assist and inform you at the desk. (Dokterswacht: 0900-112 7 112).

  • Pets

    Pets are not allowed in the hotel, but they are welcome in our lobby and hotel bar. If pets are found in the room, a cleaning fee of €75 will be charged. However, we are happy to make an exception for guide dogs and assistance dogs, who are very welcome.

  • Post

    If you have mail that you would like to send, you can drop it off at the reception. We also offer the service to frank your mail; please note that there is a fee for this. If your mail already has a stamp, you can simply drop it off at the reception.

  • Public transport

    At the reception, you can obtain information about public transportation in the area or visit this website.

  • Reception

    The reception is available to assist you 24 hours a day. During the night, the reception is staffed by a night receptionist. From midnight, the main entrance will be closed, but you can use the intercom next to the entrance.

  • Restaurant

    The restaurant on the ground floor is open from Monday to Friday, from 6:30 A.M. to 11 P.M., and on Saturday and Sunday, from 7:30 A.M. to 11 P.M. In the restaurant, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the day. We recommend making a reservation through the reception to avoid disappointment.

  • Restaurant ID

    With your personal Restaurant ID, you can enjoy a variety of dishes each month at participating hotels. You can find your personal Restaurant ID in the hotel dashboard of your Valk Account.

  • Room heating

    In rooms with a cardholder, the card must be inserted to maintain the desired settings. Once the card is removed, the heating will revert to the default settings. In rooms with a touchscreen panel, you can set your desired temperature, and it will be maintained.

  • Room service

    Room service is available from 11 A.M. to 10 P.M. To order room service or for information about pickup, please contact the reception by dialing 9 from the phone in your hotel room. Room service fees will apply.

  • Safe

    Our rooms are equipped with a safe. We recommend that you use this safe for your valuables. The instructions for use can be found near the safe. The hotel is not responsible for any lost items from the hotel room.

  • Safety

    To enhance the safety of our guests and staff, Van der Valk Hotel Sneek is equipped with a fire alarm system. To ensure the proper functioning of this system and to prevent false alarms and unnecessary fire brigade responses, it is important to consider the following:
    - Smoking is not allowed in the building. If this is detected, you will be fined €175.00.
    - It is not allowed to light candles and/or incense in your room.
    - Creating an open flame or setting off fireworks is prohibited.
    - The use of smoke machines or similar devices is not allowed.
    - It is strictly forbidden to disable the system or any of its components, or to interfere with its operation. If this is detected, you will be immediately removed from the hotel without any refund of paid costs or deposits.

  • Shoe polishing machine

    On the first floor, in the hallway near room 233, there is a shoe polishing machine.

  • Shop

    At the reception, you will find a well-equipped display case with items for sale. For more information, please feel free to ask our reception staff.

  • Smoking

    Van der Valk Hotel Sneek is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is not allowed in the rooms or public areas. The use of super-smokers or e-cigarettes is also prohibited. Smoking is only allowed outside the hotel. If you smoke on the balcony, please make sure to close the balcony door.

  • Smoking detected

    If it is found that smoking has occurred in the room, a cleaning fee of €175 will be charged. This fee must be paid immediately at the reception. It is strictly prohibited to disable the smoke detector or any of its components, or to interfere with its function. If this is detected, you will be immediately removed from the hotel without any refund of paid costs.

  • Taxi/shuttle service

    If you would like to use a taxi, you can easily make a reservation at the reception. If you need transportation for long-distance trips, such as to Schiphol Airport, you can inquire about the options at the reception.

  • Terrace

    Hotel Sneek offers a beautiful and spacious terrace located by the water. The terrace is open during the summer season from 9 A.M. to 1 A.M.

  • Toiletries

    Forgot your toothbrush or razor? These are available for free at the reception.

  • Tourist information

    You can perfectly combine your stay at Van der Valk Hotel Sneek with a visit to the Frisian city of Sneek. Ask at the reception for a city map of Sneek or more information about the area. You can also visit this website.

  • Umbrella

    Our reception staff will be happy to lend you an umbrella in case of bad weather or bad forecasts.

  • Vending machine

    Near the room elevator on the ground floor, you will find a soft drink machine. It only accepts small change. It is possible to withdraw small amounts of cash at the reception between 7 A.M. and 11 P.M.

  • Visitors

    If you wish to receive visitors, they must report to the reception for registration, due to fire safety regulations. It is not allowed to receive visitors in your room after 10 P.M. A maximum number of guests is allowed per room and suite.

  • Laundry/dry cleaning

    At the reception, you can pick up a laundry bag for your laundry that needs to be washed and/or ironed. We kindly ask you to deliver the laundry in the laundry bag to the reception. A surcharge of €15 will be applied for washing, dry cleaning, and/or ironing your laundry. The laundry will typically be returned within 1 business day (depending on the workload).

  • Wake-up call

    The wake-up service is available at any time of the day. Please contact the reception to arrange this.

  • Wellness

    Need a break and some relaxation? Unwind in our wellness. Unlimited access for our hotel guests.

  • Wheelchair

    There is a wheelchair available at the hotel. Please ask our reception for availability.
