Don't forget to visit the lovely historical city centre of Sneek: visit for example the Frisian Maritime museum, "Fries Scheepvaartmuseum", visit the monument "Waterpoort" from 1610 or visit the museum of "Weduwe/Widow Joustra" with a tasting room and a shop. Do you bring along your children? The Frisian Maritime Museum, or the National Model Railway Museum, "Nationaal Modelspoormuseum" is also a recommendation to visit with kids. Some of the sailing schools in the surroundings, offer sailing classes for the whole family.
Is the weather a bit dissapointing? Then we would recommend going to "The Speelbos Joure", or the indoor part of "The Kameleondorp" (both indoor playgrounds , the last one mentioned also has an outside).
