Enjoy a delightfull midweek in and around Sneek. Explore the beautiful surroundings of Sneek by bike, by foot or by sloop. Don't forget to visit the lovely historical city centre of Sneek: visit for example the Frisian Maritime museum, "Fries Scheepvaartmuseum", visit the monument "Waterpoort" from 1610 or visit the museum of "Weduwe/Widow Joustra" with a tasting room and a shop. Shopping in the city centre of Sneek is also one of our recommendations. Sneek is chosen as the best shopping city situated above the big rivers!

Do you bring along your children? The Frisian Maritime Museum, or the National Model Railway Museum, "Nationaal Modelspoormuseum" is also a recommendation to visit with kids. Some of the sailing schools in the surroundings, offer sailing classes for the whole family.
Is the weather a bit dissapointing? Then we would recommend going to "The Speelbos Joure", or the indoor part of "The Kameleondorp" (both indoor playgrounds , the last one mentioned also has an outside). So there are plenty of nice things to do for a great midweek in Sneek!
